UGG Boot Care

For a Good Fit:

An initial tight fit is recommended as new sheepskin will stretch and the wool will compress after being worn. Ugg Boot sizes are for bare feet, as sheepskin breathes and is able to absorb sweat at a very fast rate, allowing your feet to stay dry for warmth and comfort. If you wish to wear them with socks, then you may need one size bigger than your usual size.

Care for longer use Your Ugg Boots are not yet waterproof when you purchase them, so you will need to waterproof it using "UGG PROTECTOR". This layer of protection should be applied before the first use of your Ugg Boots. However, once the Ugg Boots get wet, it is mandatory to put another coat of protection onto the Ugg Boots after they have dried. Waterproofing your Ugg Boots will protect your boots from water, cooking oil and dirt.

Occasional gentle brushing with a soft cloth, suede or nubuck brush in one direction only to raise the nap creates a smooth, even appearance.

Cleaning Your Ugg BootsSheepskin is a material that should cleaned gently. Ugg Boots should never be put into a washing machine or a dryer. Hand-wash your Ugg boots in warm water, using an approved wool detergent such as "UGG Shampoo with conditioner". To dry, place you Ugg boot in the shade away from heat or direct sunlight and allow it to dry out slowly to retain the soft, supple finish. Sheepskin footwear does shrink slightly after drying out, but will retain its original shape after a few wears. If you follow these directions, your Ugg Boots should last for years.

How to remove stains from your UggBoots:

If a grease stain appears on your Ugg Boots, do not panic, as there is a solution! Use a razor or a sharp knife to scrub some powder from a white chalk over the stain, leaving it for a few minutes, blowing away the excess chalk. Then, using your hand, gently rub the stain. Repeat this process a few times until the stain is nearly transparent. For extremely tough stains, you may consider to gently rub the stain with sandpaper, but this may take the colour away.

How to remove rain spots:

Sometimes your Ugg Boots may come in contact with some rain, and it is not yet waterproof. This can be easily treated by folding the footwear into itself, that is the skin against skin, and gently rubbing it together to soften the spots.

How to Deoderize your UGG BootsTo do this, use a mixture of 2 teaspoons of baking soda and 2 teaspoons of corn flour to deodorize and soften the inside of the boots.

If you want, you can add a few drops of scented oil to create a sweet scent. Shake the mixture into the boots and let it dry overnight.
